Antal Charity

Antal Charitable Foundation, created in July 2008, is mostly concerned with helping children’s charities and those efforts and events that revolve around the support of kids who through no fault of their own find themselves in very difficult situations. This means it is extends to all areas of the globe and all kinds of situations be it physical disadvantage; parenting issues; natural disasters; political mismanagement. Basically, anything where the kids are victims of circumstance or nature. However we are particularly interested in the rehabilitation of children who might otherwise be describe as problem kids. We are intrigued by the connection and impact of nature / nurture, the way that these factors affect the development and choices that children end up making for their lives.

More recently we’ve been looking into what causes children to make particular choices in life, why they behave in a certain way and then what changes them so they choose a better life. For example, what makes a teenager turn to crime and what we can do to help them turn from it. We invite you to read through our thoughts and add your own comments.

Lately, on behalf of Antal Charity Foundation a team of 6 people from Antal China went to one of CMC (Compassion for Migrant Children) community camps in Heiqiao, North-east Beijing, to donate RMB 20,000 to this camp and their kids.

Compassion for Migrant Children has been working in China for more than 8 years, and is committed to helping children of migrant workers in China and their communities through social and educational programs.

Antal International South Africa supports a Home of Hope which is situated in Table View, Cape Town. The Home of Hope is a voluntary association which was established in 2005. Caring for children in community based foster home, they offer these children, as their name implies, hope.

In July 2010, Home of Hope opened Amathemba School. This is an exciting and pioneering initiative within the South African education landscape.

At Antal International South Africa, help out as much as we can, helping out with cleaning up of their grounds, to supporting the Home of Hope when they have any fundraising functions.
